A cover letter can be an important addition to your application which can show your enthusiasm and general skills in a short summary. A good cover letter can help to ensure your application is looked at closely.
Always tailor the cover letter to the specific job. A generic cover letter just doesn’t work.
It’s a good idea to cover the following;
Why you are interested in the role,
What skills and benefits you will bring to the role including qualifications,
What it is that you like about the company.
Once its completed check for spelling and punctuation. You may as well have the letter reading as good as possible. Also, if the role happens to be an administration position then you would certainly be expected to have your spelling etc correct.
It’s all about showing some effort and demonstrating that you are genuinely serious about the role and the company.
